Our policy is:

  • To have a systematic approach to safety and environment management designed to ensure compliance with industry practice or the law, whichever is more stringent
  • Require contractors to manage safety and environment in line with this policy
  • Include safety and environment performance in the appraisal of staff and reward accordingly
  • Set targets for improvement and audit for compliance 

The use of illicit and/or misuse of prescribed drugs and the use of alcohol can impair performance at work and can be a serious threat to safety and environment, health and productivity. RUBiS wishes to ensure that all employees recognize this threat and aims to minimise the risks involved. In order to achieve this end a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing programme was introduced in 1995. RUBiS also expects that persons or companies contracted by RUBiS have a similar drug and alcohol policy and reserves the right to randomly test contractor employees for cause.

RUBiS Energy Bermuda Ltd. is an affiliate of RUBiS Group with our head office located on Ferry Road, St George's, Bermuda. RUBiS Energy Bermuda has operated the leading automobile and marine fuel distribution network (12 service stations) in Bermuda since September 2006.  We also have  a purpose-built facility for the importation of LPG to internationally recognised safety standards. The ULTRA TEC family of transportation fuels (Super Unleaded Gasoline, Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel ("ULSD"), LPG and lubricants are distributed via our two independent storage terminals located in St. George's and Ireland Island (Dockyard).
