All of the Island's Shell service stations are being rebranded as RUBiS.
The RUBiS Group purchased Shell's assets in Bermuda in September 2006 and renamed the company RUBiS Energy Bermuda. At the time of the sale, RUBiS and Shell signed a trade mark license agreement which permitted the stations to remain Shell branded for five years.
David Rose, general manager of RUBiS Bermuda, said that the RUBiS rebranding, which began in late June, is scheduled to be completed by end of August.
Although the Shell brand will disappear after 60 years, Shell will continue to supply RUBiS Bermuda station network with its fuels.
RUBiS customers will also continue to get the same service from its dealers and staff, while all of the gas stations will have a fresh, brighter look.
Leslie Pryce, a regular customer at the RUBIS Dowling's gas station in St George's has been named the lucky winner of a $50 gas voucher and a year's subscription to the electronic version of The Royal Gazette.
A partnership between the newspaper and RUBIS saw 12 customers every day in July win a $3 gas card when they used their rewards card and bought a copy of The Royal Gazette at a RUBIS gas station.
Of the 324 recipients, Mr Pryce yesterday swooped the grand prize.
Mr Pryce said he often comes to the Dowling's station to refuel his upholstery van and to buy a newspaper.
He added that he appreciated the station's friendly service, which keeps him coming back.
Bermuda Gas and RUBiS service stations held a free raffle to promote propane cylinder exchange services and celebrate Cup Match.
Participants submitted their entry forms from The Royal Gazette between July 18 and 26 for their chance to win a brand new barbecue.
The draw was held on Wednesday July 27, where Bill Pitman's ballot was the winning entry.
"Certainly a nice summertime surprise!," said Mr Pitman. "I'm really looking forward to firing up the new grill."
