Historically, when a Hurricane Warning is issued for Bermuda, there has always been a surge of fuel purchases. This increased activity on the forecourt can lead to a longer than average refueling time.
RUBiS enacts key processes and protocols during Hurricane Seasons to ensure that our Service Stations have sufficient supplies for peak demand. With our Demand Monitoring System, we encourage customers to fill up early during the Hurricane Watch period which allows us to understand demand and to replenish stations in the shortest time frame available before the storm hits.
During Hurricane Season, customers are encouraged to maintain their fuel tanks at least half-full at all times.
